¿Qué mató al "Pequeño Saltamontes"?

El pasado julio, David Carradine murió de una manera grotesca en un hotel de Bangkok. Lo encontraron dentro de un armario, amordazado y con un cordón atado al pene y al cuello. Según la investigación policial, no fue asesinado sino que murió de manera accidental a causa de un rebuscado juego sexual con autoasfixia incluida.
A mi me apenó su muerte como la pérdida de un amigo de la infancia con el que perdí contacto hace mucho tiempo, pero del que conservo un recuerdo entrañables. Le tengo cariño a la serie "Kung Fu". Sin embargo, no era el personaje de Carradine el que me gustaba de pequeño, sino el personaje de el "Pequeño Saltamontes" de joven, interpretado por un tal Radames Pera, que ni siquiera tiene página en Wikipedia.
Al principio la noticia me llamó la atención, luego la Policía cerró el caso. Apaga el ordenador y vámonos a cenar.
Estos días trajo a colación el caso una teoría de la conspiración erótico-criminal en Internet que parece un guión escrito entre Quentin Tarantino y Graham Greene.
Otro actor con apellido muy Western, Randy Quaid, dice que le persigue una "red monstruosa" de agentes inmobiliarios y despiadados sicarios de Hollywood dispuestos a acabar con su vida. Según él, son los mismos que asesinaron a los actores David Carradine, Chris Penn y Heath Ledger y tratan de hundir las carreras de Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan y Mel Gibson.
Quaid soltó todo esto cuando fue detenido en Canadá a instancias de un tribunal de California por vandalismo, robo y allanamiento de morada en su antigua casa.
"Son auténticos hombres de negocios, la mafia, el crimen organizado", asegura la mujer.
¿Qué puedo decir? No conozco al señor Quaid y no hay que olvidar que es un profesional del drama, la tragedia y, ahora más que nunca, de la comedia. La pareja ya se encuentra en California para responder a los presuntos delitos de los que se les acusa.
Por cierto, resulta irónico que detrás del hotel donde encontraron a Carradine se encuentran el famoso templo del pene. Para los interesados, ved el vídeo en la entrada de octubre.

What killed the “Grasshopper”?

David Carradine had a grotesque death in a Bangkok hotel last June. He was found inside the wardrobe with a rope tied to his neck and penis. The Police investigation showed that he was not murdered, but died accidentally in a sexual game that involved erotic asphyxiation.

I felt pity by his death as the loss of some childhood friend forgotten in a corner of my mind, which also inspires fond memories. I liked the TV series “Kung Fu.” Then, I identified myself with the character “Grasshopper,” played by Radames Pera, who even has not a entrance in Wikipedia.

So, the article called my attention, after the Police ended the case. I turned off my computer and went to dine.

This week, I recalled this case again when I read a conspiracy theory on the Internet that resembles a script written between Quentin Tarantino y Graham Green. Another actor with a “Western” name, Randy Quaid, says he is being harassed by a "monstrous” network of estate agents and Hollywood sharks ready to kill him. According to him, they are the same guys that killed David Carradine, Chris Penn and Heath Ledger and try to destroy the career of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Mel Gibson.

Quaid said all this when he and his wife were interrogated by Police in Canada, where they fled USA authorities. Police in California say that they broke into and trashed their former house.

"They're absolute businessmen. It's the mafia; it's organized crime," said Mrs. Quaid.

What can I say? I have not met Mr. Quaid and we should not forget that he is a drama, tragedy and, nowadays more than ever, comedian professional. The couple is already in California to declare before the judge.
